David Ayscue

David Ayscue
David Alan Ayscue lived Nov. 9, 1953 – Sept. 22, 2010. This is him and his first car.

David’s gone. The BookPotato Literary Agency’s doors are closed. He lived as an agent, teacher, student, friend, son, brother and much more.

And his past life continues to impact our own such that … an infinite number of … references … keep … his story … evolving. It’s a staccato tale, complex and deep. But David’s now at peace. He will be missed — even as he remains with us always.

Obituaries are available via the The Daily Advance and the Swindell Funeral Home. Please, leave a note if you have something to express.

Googling an old friend doesn’t always give you the information you want to find. Thought of David today so I looked him up..I’m 3 months too late. David was my professor at ECU & the most unusual & endearing character I have ever met. He taught me to always ask why & then find the answer yourself, gave me my love of all books & was the inspiration to all of those Alice in Wonderland references on my FB page that have been sustaining me for the last few months. Funny how you can lose touch with an old friend and never really miss them until you find it is too late to tell them how much they impacted your life.
